The Hunter and Ranch models have a slightly larger bolt diameter, making them not compatible with the bolt shroud, since it was designed for the Predator models.
Why does this fit the RA Predator but not the Hunter or Ranch? Don't all three have the same bolt and action? Bolt Shroud Replacement for the Ruger American Rifle
This is very confusing. The RA Predator has an option chambered in .223 that takes AR magazines. The description, and another question, clearly indicate this bolt shroud is compatible with the RA predator. So, if I had a RA Predator in .223 taking AR mags and a RA Ranch in 5.56 taking AR mags, why would the bolt shroud fit one gun but not the other?
